Paris 7 university buildings - Denis Diderot

On 24 March 2004 and further to a call for tenders, the Department of Paris designated SEMAPA as agent for the project ownership of the M3/I1 and M5/B1 university buildings.

M3/I1 :

This building houses the teaching and research premises of the department of biology as well as the President's office, the general secretariat and the communication department of the Paris 7 university. The entire unit represents around 11.500 sq.m. and the building also offers 130 parking spaces.
Work began in May 2006 and the building was delivered in January 2008. The architects selected following the call for bids were Jean Quervilly and François Mauffret. In February 2009, this building got a special mention at the Equerre d’Argent architectural awards.

M5/B1 :

This building houses the teaching and research premises of the department of chemistry as well as the stores and workshops of the Paris 7 university. The entire development covers around 10,000 sq.m. Work on the building began in May 2006 and it was delivered in February 2008. After the call for bids, the X-TU architectural firm was chosen for the project.
